Our 8th-grade students recently explored key historical and cultural landmarks across Santiago and ValparaĂso as part of the level’s interdisciplinary academic program.
Over the course of three days, from October 7th to the 9th, the group toured ValparaĂso’s historical downtown and the National Congress, as well as La Moneda Palace (including its Cultural Center), Constitution Square in Santiago, and Planetario Chile. They also visited a wide array of museums, including the Gabriela Mistral Museum, the Las Condes Immersive Museum (MUI), the Fine Arts Museum (MNBA), the BenjamĂn Vicuña Mackenna Museum, and the Interactive Mirador Museum (MIM).
This educational tour is designed to enrich our students’ learning while fostering independence, decision-making skills, social bonding, and critical thinking through exposure to art and social history. The delegation was accompanied by five faculty members.
“It was a very educational trip. A lot of people loved the Fine Arts Museum, but my personal favorite was the MIM—there were so many interactive activities that made connecting with what we were learning really fun,” shared Ariadna Sánchez, an 8th-grade student.
