“A Nation of States”: Celebrating the 4th of July with Themed Activities

During the first week of July, our school community celebrated the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence with a variety of activities centered around this year’s theme: “A Nation of States.”

The celebration kicked off on Wednesday, July 1st, with an assembly presented by our Oral English Challenge students, featuring poetry, patriotic songs, and monologues from the Founding Fathers of the United States. At the same time, the Early Childhood department hosted its monthly Announcement with a special 4th of July theme.

On Thursday, July 2nd, Lower & Upper Elementary and High School students enjoyed traditional American backyard games during recess, where they had the chance to win “dollars” to redeem for fun prizes.

Finally, on Friday, July 3rd, the school community came together for a themed fair. Students from various grades presented projects showcasing different U.S. states, which included interactive Q&A sessions. Traditional games continued throughout the day, and everyone in attendance enjoyed popcorn generously provided by the PTA.

To wrap up this festive week, our Kindergarten students performed their “English Show” for their families, beautifully demonstrating their progress in the language through song.
