Today, virtually all educational literature and experience agree that an educational institution is most effective when it unites around a common project, shares a common vision of its goals, and has basic agreements on how to achieve them.
All of the above constitutes the Institutional Educational Project (IEP), an instrument that, in our institution, guides all internal processes, clarifies improvement goals for all stakeholders, provides meaning and rationality to management for the medium and long term, enables pedagogical and curricular decision-making, and coordinates innovative projects and actions related to student learning and development. In short, it organizes major tasks around shared objectives.
The central aspect of the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) at The Thomas Jefferson STEM School is our institutional effort to create a school climate where all children and young people are respected and valued, and where they develop their full potential and leadership skills within a bilingual pedagogical and cultural context. We prioritize communication skills, personal management, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
We believe that one of the most effective ways to foster learning is through example. Therefore, we provide our students with love, energy, support, respect, and open communication. The attitudes we embody as an educational community will be the best way to teach our students.
Furthermore, we are convinced that teamwork is a strength that fosters learning. Our mission will be much more manageable, and our students and parents will be better served if we work together as a professional and responsible team.
We invite you to join us on this adventure, one that no one should miss. We are eager to share this roadmap with the entire educational community so that together we can reach the great goal we have set for ourselves, which is “for children to learn happily.”
