During the last two weeks of May, we were thrilled to welcome 15 students from Hawken School (Ohio, USA) as part of our ongoing student exchange program.
Following tradition, each visiting student stayed with a host family from the Jeffersonian community, giving them a firsthand, immersive look into Chilean culture and daily life.
Throughout the exchange, the Hawken students attended classes alongside their hosts. They also explored the region on several sightseeing trips, which included visiting Lota Park and the Chiflón del Diablo mine, as well as spending an exciting weekend in the Las Trancas Valley in Chillán.
While on campus at TJSS, the visitors connected with our younger students, sharing stories with Early Childhood classes and participating in lively Q&A sessions with Lower and Upper Elementary students.
Milestones like these truly strengthen both of our educational communities. Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience unforgettable!
